Visiting Yachtsmen

The Edgartown Yacht Club is pleased to welcome yachtsmen from sister clubs which belong to U. S. Sailing Association and to offer them the use of the Club's facilities. This courtesy is available for a maximum of three days per year, and only for those yachtsmen who cruise into Edgartown on board their yachts. The Club regrets that it does not offer the following services: dockage, moorings or showers. (Please contact the Edgartown Harbormaster for these services 508 627-4746.)
 

Please Use Your Holding Tank In Edgartown Waters!

1. To register with our receptionist, you must show your home club's membership card. (If you do not have your home club's membership card, your home club must fax verification of your membership to the EYC before registering. Our fax number is 508 627-7565.) Upon completing the registration form, you will be issued a "Visiting Yachtsman" card which we ask that you present each time you use Club facilities. Please note that smoking is prohibited at all Club facilities and the use of cell phones is not allowed on Club premises, with the exception of the phone booth in the Clubhouse entry.

2. Visitor transactions must be paid for at the time of service with cash, credit card or with personal checks supported by appropriate identification and approved by the manager on duty. Sorry, but we do not permit charges to your home club account.

3. Reservations are required for luncheon and dinner and may be made in the Reception Office where you register. At the time you make your reservation you will be asked to make $20 per person deposit for dinner. This deposit will be credited against your food and beverages charges for that meal and is non-refundable if the reservation is not used or is canceled within three hours of the reservation time. If reservations are made over the phone and you are not yet in Edgartown, we ask that you please come to the Club's Reception Office as soon as possible upon your arrival to give your deposit and guarantee your table. It is our Club's policy that reservations for luncheon or dinner in the Dining Room can be made no sooner than one week in advance of the requested date. Our Galley Grill is open 7 days a week - featuring a simpler lunch menu than in the Dining Room and casual attire.

4. Note that all Club rules apply equally to visitors. We call your attention in particular to the State's minimum age for the consumption of alcoholic beverages, 21 years.

5. We respectfully request that visitors assist in upholding our dress code tradition. In the Dining Room, Bar and Galley Grill; shirts, shorts or slacks and shoes for gentlemen (collared shirts are required for men having lunch in the Dining Room); shirts or blouses, shorts, slacks or skirts and shoes for ladies. For evenings in the Clubhouse, after 6:30 p.m., the code on Saturday and Sundayt requires gentlemen to wear a jacket, dress shirt with tie and appropriate slacks and shoes and that ladies wear a dress or a dressy skirt and blouse or sweater with shoes. During casual nights at the Club (Monday - Friday) men are required to wear slacks or shorts (no cargo shorts) and collared shirts. Ladies naturally should be properly casual as well. Blue jeans and blue jean skirts are considered inappropriate in the Dining Room. Please note that this code applies to both adults and children in the Main Dining Room.

6. Please tie only small dinghies (12' or less in length) to the floats provided on the south face of the Club wharf. We are sorry but we cannot accommodate larger vessels.
